IMM 2020 | CSrugs launches Pixelated

Pixelated by studio Makkink & Bey

CSrugs launches ‘Pixelated’, a series of 6 pixelated patterns, designed by Studio Makkink & Bey. The woolen 3D rugs combine 7 and 11 mm pile height and comes in 20 colour mixtures.

Studio Makkink & Bey sees rugs as more than just interior objects, but as landscapes in physical and virtual way. Imagine that every morning when you walk into the living room, the rug creates a space where you can comfortably enjoy the morning sunlight with a cup of coffee. What’s more, by simply scanning the code on the rug, it leads to a cultural online platform offering you a range of stories and information in art, design and architecture.

“Pixelated” series presents a new language of interaction between people and the digital world. With newly-developed tufting method based on pixelated patterns, the rug becomes a tangible medium bringing you to an intangible dimension, inviting you to explore daily lives with different perceptions and be inspired spontaneously.

Carpet Sign becomes CSrugs.

With the celebration of 40 years of craftmanship in producing high end, bespoke rugs, a rename of the company comes along. With the growing international platform the company is acting on, the new name is a better fit. CSrugs refers to the creative signature the company gives to its collections and made to order projects. A characteristic proudly made possible by the inhouse production unit and colour studio. CSrugs is excited to start the new year under its new name!
