As inspiring as imm cologne is, there's a point during the fair that I always look forward to. Call it decompressing. It's the moment when I leave the fairgrounds and cross over the road to go to Design Post...

You see, the venue is more than just a year-round multi-brand showroom – although the manufacturers who've set up their stalls here since the place opened in 2006 are certainly impressive. If the fair is a stage for competing companies, Design Post feels more like a high-end collective, each brand present informing the others. No wonder it's become the destination for deeper, more leisurely, more meaningful encounters and conversations. It's a people business and this is business, people.
